The first passage of Joshua is like the bomb.com it basically is one of my favorite verses.
I shall quote
"Remember that I commanded you to be strong and brave. Don't be afraid, because the Lord your God will be with you everywhere you go." Joshua 1:9
I also like how this passage has so much reference to how much god can do and how god can protect us always. Its a sweet passage.

I enjoyed it and I think that it's pretty inspirational to know that no matter what God is always with us no matter how impossible the objective appears. I mean we are talking an Israelite nation conquering everyone with just 40,000 men. That's pretty darn impressive if you ask me.

I would have to agree with Noah and Jimmy, it's yet another set of chapters that exemplify the Lord's strength and just what all he can do for us!

yeah this really shows how hXc God really is. He had people that didnt even believe in him scared of even hearing about his acts. how does that work? But but yourself in the shoes of Joshua and the Israelites. Moses had just died and Joshua had to take over. Moses was pretty much the most loved and revered person thus far in the world, how can you follow that up? And also the Israelites had been wondering around in the desert and had been slaves for a really really long time. it would be hard to keep the faith, even if you were getting angel food from heaven every day.
And how about all the men that had to get circumsized because they were born in the wild and hadnt followed the Law. Talk about a wake up call.
Good job on this passage guys, anything else strike you?

Guess who read?!!
I really like the part about Rahab. She had and incredible faith that these strangers were doing the will of God. I like that God uses even the littlest and least liked or respected people to do his work.

yeah for sure, its cool how God has always used the least of humans; Rahab, Paul, us, not the greatest of us. This really proves it is a faith of the people.
